Autofix Data Relationships

The following steps walk a user, with write access to the module and architecture, through automatically fixing broken data relationships in Collector. These broken relationships may occur when all records in a referenced node are deleted; if the exact same records are then recreated (not restored) in that original node, you can use Autofix Relationships to try and automatically repair the references.

1. With the desired architecture loaded, ensure you are in the Data Editor pane of the Outlook Bar. For this example, all records in the Employee (HR) node, in our HR Framework architecture, were deleted.
2.  When the Training (HR) node is initially loaded, all elements in the Employee column are empty.
3. Click the Show Deleted button in the Ribbon Bar. The references to the deleted records are shown in red font.
4. For this example, instead of restoring the records, the same names were imported into Collector from Excel. Because the relationship between reference elements is established based on each record's unique database identifier (a GUID, global unique identifier) and not the text name, the Training (HR) node will still show the Employee elements as empty or in red font (if Show Deleted is still enabled).
5. To fix this, we can have Architex repair the relationship. Click the Autofix Relationships button in the Ribbon Bar. A busy indicator is displayed as Architex searches the appropriate reference table for a record with the same name as the broken reference.
6. When the process is complete, all Employee element references have been fixed.
