Edit a Child Risk

The following steps walk a user, with write access to the module and architecture, through editing a child risk in RAM. A child risk does not have any other risks nested beneath it, but may have mitigation steps assigned to it.

1. With the desired architecture loaded, ensure you are in the Risk Designer pane of the Outlook Bar.
2. Select the desired child risk by clicking on its name in the Outlook Bar ("First Child Risk" in the example). The Content Pane displays the data form; enable editing by clicking the pencil icon in the upper right corner.
3. Edit the Info and Data sections. To edit text fields, you can type directly into the field or paste copied text into them.
3a. Select the Scope from the pull-down list. Risk scope is the type of risk. All pull-down options are populated during the Risk Framework workflow (the following images are examples of typical options).
3b. Select the Status from the pull-down list. Risk status is the approval step for a risk.
3c. Select a Handling Method from the pull-down list.
4. Edit the Associated Risks and Risk sections.
4a. Select any associated risks from the pull-down list. The choices are risks within the current architecture.
4b. Select a Risk Type from the pull-down list.
4c. Select a Likelihood Category from the pull-down list. The available options are dependent upon the risk type selected.
4d. Select a Consequence Category from the pull down list. The available options are dependent upon the risk type selected.
5. Edit the Date Attribute section. You can either directly type the date into the field, or use the calendar to select the date.
6. Click Save when finished. The Outlook Bar is automatically updated with the identifier, scope, status, and name of the risk.
