Edit a Mitigation

The following steps walk a user, with write access to the module and architecture, through editing a mitigation in RAM.

1. With the desired architecture loaded, ensure you are in the Risk Designer pane of the Outlook Bar. In the Outlook Bar, click on the desired mitigation ("New Risk Mitigation" in the example).

2. Enable editing by clicking the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the Content Pane.

3. Edit the Info and Data sections. To edit text fields, you can either type directly into the field or paste copied text into it.

4. Edit the Status section. All pull-down menus are populated through the Risk Framework workflow.

4a. Select a Workflow Status from the pull-down options.

4b. Select a Mitigation Status from the pull-down options.

5. Edit the If Implemented and If Not Implemented sections. The if-not-implemented fields default to the same values as the implemented unless manually changed.

5a. Select a Likelihood Rating. The available options are dependent upon the likelihood category selected for the risk.

5b. Select a Consequence Rating. The available options are dependent upon the consequence category selected for the risk.

6. Edit the Mitigating Projects and Date Attributes sections.

6a. Select one or more projects from a linked LAM architecture, if applicable. The project status is shown in parentheses after the project title. NOTE: It is a best practice to not link a project to the initial mitigation step.

7. Click Save when you are finished editing.
