Element Form – Source Data Tab

 
The Source Data tab of the Element form defines the data displayed in the report. Asterisk (*) fields are required.

Selected Element

Once an element is selected, its details are displayed in the Element form tabs.

Click the pencil icon to enable editing.

The currently selected tab of the Element form.

Source Data Fields

4. Source Data Fields
  •  Node*: the framework node where the data is located
  •  Element*: the element from which to extract the data
  •  Parent: allows the user to associate the element to another element in a hierarchical structure
  •  Stereotype: typically the node name; another element can be selected to show in the report
  •  Information: will show only these elements in the report (the report intersection will show the number of elements associated with the chosen information element)
  •  X-Axis and Y-Axis checkboxes: identifies the axis the element is assigned to (NOTE: these are not necessary in a Chart report)

Save

5. Save
The Save button saves the information currently entered in the Element form, and disables editing. A warning pops up if a required field has not been completed. This Save button only saves this Element form; it does not save the overall report design (use Save Report in the Ribbon Bar for this).
