Fields

1. Fields
Logical Families
Logical Families are groupings of projects or tasks with similar characteristics; for example, "Outreach" to denote those projects that involve the community. The Viewing Filter allows projects and tasks to be filtered by logical families. Also, the Display Group on the ribbon bar allows project and tasks to be grouped by logical families.
NOTE: If a task contains a logical family, the filter with that logical family will show parents to the task regardless of their logical families. If no logical families are set for all of a parent project's tasks, the filter will display tasks according to the project's logical families.

To add a logical family to the task, type the name in the box. A list of matching values appears if families have previously been created; select the desired item. If the family is new, press Enter after the name to create it. The new family then appears in an item box.
To remove a logical family from the task, click the X in the item box . This removes the logical family from the field, but does not delete the family itself.

Tags
Custom Tags can be used to further categorize a project or task, such as "Risk" to denote a project associated with a risk. The Viewing Filter allows projects and tasks to be filtered by custom tags.
NOTE: If a task contains a custom tag, the filter with that custom tag will show parents to the task regardless of their custom tasks. If no custom tasks are set for all of a parent project's tasks, the filter will display tasks according to the project's custom tags.

To add a custom tag to the task, type the name in the box. A list of matching values will appear if custom tags have previously been created; select the desired item. If the custom tag is new, press Enter after the name to create it; the new custom tag will then appear in an item box.
To remove a custom tag from the task, click the blue X in the item box .  This removes the custom tag from the field, but does not delete the custom tag itself.

Parent Project
A task must be associated with a single Parent Project. To change the parent project, select the desired project from the pull-down menu. If a parent task exists, then the parent project is the parent project of the parent task and appears grayed out and cannot be edited. The parent project association can only be changed, not removed.

Parent Task
A Task can be assigned a Parent Task. If the current task does not have a parent task, then the parent project can be changed. To change the parent task, select the desired task from the pull-down menu. The parent task association can be removed by clicking the Clear bar at the top of the menu list.

Window Buttons

2. Window Buttons
The Clear Changes button resets all fields on all tabs of the Task Information window to the original values; it is only available when editing an existing task. The Delete button immediately removes the current task and all of its children. This button is only available when editing an existing task. A confirmation window pops up:
The Apply button saves edits made in any tab of the Task Information window, and then closes the window. The Cancel button reverses edits made in any tab of the Task Information window, and then closes the window.
