The Outlook Bar is organized in a tree structure; a notional set of risks is shown as an example.

Minimize

Click the gray arrow box to minimize the Outlook Bar and increase the viewing area of the Content Pane.

Search Field

2. Search Field
Text box to search for an item name or identifier. The red clears the search field.

Expand Tree

3. Expand Tree
This icon expands and collapses the tree by level.

Parent Risk

4. Parent Risk
A risk with other risks nested beneath it is referred to as a parent risk. The folder icon is associated with this risk. The number in parentheses indicates the number of child risks nested within it.

Child Risk

5. Child Risk
A risk that is not in a nested structure or is nested beneath another risk is referred to as a child risk. The matrix icon is associated with this risk. The number in parentheses indicates the number of mitigations associated with the risk.

Mitigation Step

6. Mitigation Step
Mitigation steps can be added to a child risk. There are three different icons associated with mitigation steps:
  • Initial:
  • In Progress:
  • Closed:

This shows which pane the user is in.
