Point of Contact

 
Point of Contact describes a specific user of an organization's assets. It is used by Physical Asset. It should be populated in step 1 of the data workflow.

Contact Information is a text field that can be used to capture address, phone number, email address, etc. of the point of contact.

Typically the Name field will be populated with names of actual employees, consultants, volunteers or others. If an asset is used by multiple people, then a role-based name (e.g., Front Desk Supervisor) is an option.

The user can provide a Description of the contact person, such as their role in the organization.

Valid From can describe the start date of a point of contact, as applicable.

Valid Until can describe the end date of a point of contact, as applicable.

The URL_URI text field is customizable by the user. It can be used for help with sorting, additional notes or an additional report search field.

The Record Type field is automatically populated by the software and cannot be edited.
