The Home tab contains the most common functions used with the Gantt chart. The other tabs will be covered separately.

Data Model Group

1. Data Model Group
The Select button takes the user back to the landing page, where a different architecture or data set can be loaded. The Reload button reloads the currently selected architecture. The Architecture History button pops up an Architecture History window where the history of data edits can be viewed. The Reload button and Architecture History buttons are not visible for Data Sets since they don't apply.

Clipboard Group

2. Clipboard Group
Click the Copy button to pull down an options menu to copy the Gantt view.
  • Gantt Image: PNG file of what is showing in the Content Pane
  • Full Size Gantt Image: PNG file of entire Gantt view (even if not on the screen)
  • Full Size Gantt PDF: PDF file of entire Gantt view on one page
  • Full Size Gantt Paged PDF: PDF file of entire Gantt view on multiple pages, in portrait orientation
  • Full Size Gantt Paged Landscaped PDF: PDF file of entire Gantt view on multiple pages, in landscape orientation

Display Group

3. Display Group
The Show Tasks button displays the tasks on the Gantt chart. The Show Legend button toggles the visibility of the legend in the Content Pane. The display drop-down menu provides different ways to arrange the Gantt chart.
  • By Project: all projects ordered by period of performance start date.
  • By Capability: projects according to the capability roadmap type. Within each capability, projects are grouped by organization, then ordered by period of performance start date.
  • By Enterprise Phase: projects according to the enterprise phase roadmap type. Within each enterprise phase, projects are ordered by period of performance start date.
  • By Funding Category: all projects that have funding in each funding category or color of money. Projects are then ordered by period of performance start date.
  • By Branch: projects according to organizations, then ordered by period of performance start date.
  • By Logical Family: projects grouped by logical families then ordered by period of performance start date.

Create Group

4. Create Group
The Roadmap button opens the Roadmap Information window for creating a new roadmap. The Project button opens the Project Information window for creating a new project. The Task button opens the Task Information window for creating a new task; it is only enabled when a project or task is selected. The Dependency button opens the Dependency Information window for creating a new dependency.

Delete Group

5. Delete Group
The Roadmap button deletes the currently selected roadmap; it is only enabled when a roadmap is selected. The Project button deletes the currently selected project; it is only enabled when a project is selected. The Task button deletes the currently selected task; it is only enabled when a task is selected.

Edit Group

6. Edit Group
The Responsible Organizations button opens the Responsible Organization Information window to create or edit organizations. The Funding Vehicles button opens the Funding Vehicle Information window to create or edit a funding vehicle. The Resources button opens the Resource Information window to create or edit resources. The Labor Categories button opens the Labor Category Information window to create or edit labor categories.
