Ribbon Bar

The Ribbon Bar is composed of two tabs (Home and View), with buttons sorted in groups by functionality. Button availability is based upon what is selected in the Outlook Bar, Content Pane, architecture permissions, and module permissions.

Data Model Group

1. Data Model Group
The Select button takes the user back to the landing page, where a different architecture can be loaded. The Reload button reloads the data in the currently selected architecture. The Architecture History button pops up a window where the history of data edits can be viewed.

Records Group

2. Records Group
The Add button creates a blank record in the selected node; the pull-down menu provides the option to add 1, 5, or 10 records at a time. Copy Table copies the entire table, with headers, to the clipboard. The Paste button imports a previously saved Excel table from the clipboard into Collector. The Delete button removes the selected record.

Management Group

3. Management Group
The Export Data button provides the capability to save all the architecture data, at once, as an Excel file. The History button displays changes made to the selected record, and provides the ability to "roll back" to a previous version. The Refresh Data button reloads the data in the currently selected node. Update References refreshes any reference fields with the most up-to-date data (without reloading the node or architecture).

Data Tools Group

4. Data Tools Group
The Use Reference Helper button appends the node name to any reference elements in the table; it also appends the architecture name to references from linked architectures. Show Deleted refreshes the node to display any deleted records (either since the creation of the architecture or from the last purge deleted action). Purge Deleted permanently removes deleted records from the database. The Show Errors button shows any broken references; it changes the color of the text from black to red (default state is enabled). Enable Spell Check turns on a spell checker for new or edited records (it does not check the spelling of previously added records). Autofix Relationships tries to automatically fix broken data relationships if an identical text value exists.
